From engine overhauls to mobile axle service in the field, our team handles the work that keeps fleets and owner-operators running. Call (608) 447-0079 to schedule.
Drivetrain problems are downtime, plain and simple. Our shop is set up for the work that matters most on heavy-duty trucks: engine repair and overhaul, transmission service, and differential work.
We diagnose with the right tools, source the right parts, and deliver work that holds up to highway miles.
Modern heavy-duty trucks are rolling computers — which is great until something is intermittent. Our team handles cab and chassis electrical diagnostics, wiring repair, lighting, and full A/C and heater service.
We chase the problem to its source rather than throwing parts at it.
Trailers earn their living. Brakes, lights, suspension, frame work, doors, and floors — we handle the trailer-side work that keeps you DOT-compliant and on the road.
Drop off at the shop or schedule mobile service for fleet yards.
In-shop tire repair and mounting plus mobile axle and spindle service — we bring the equipment to your yard, jobsite, or breakdown location.
Less downtime, less hauling, more uptime for the fleet.
Breakdowns don't keep business hours. We provide 24-hour roadside assistance, towing, and recovery for commercial vehicles in partnership with our sister company, Prairie Land Towing — Wisconsin's largest towing operation.
One call, dispatched.
Scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and reliability programs designed for the realities of running heavy-duty equipment. Whether you run a single tractor or a regional fleet, we'll work with you on a maintenance schedule that minimizes downtime.
If you don't see your question below, call (608) 447-0079 or use the contact form.
Heavy-duty trucks (Class 7 and 8), semi-trailers, box trucks, RVs, and commercial fleet vehicles. We're set up for the work that earns its living — engines, drivetrains, electrical, HVAC, brakes, suspensions, frames, tires, and DOT inspections.
If you're not sure whether your vehicle is something we handle, call the shop and we'll let you know.
Both. For routine work — tire repair, brake service, smaller diagnostic work — walk-ins are welcome during shop hours (Mon–Fri 8 AM – 5 PM). For larger jobs, engine work, DOT inspection prep, or anything that requires holding a bay overnight, we ask that you call ahead so we can schedule the time.
Mobile service (axle, spindle, tire) always needs scheduling so we can dispatch the right truck.
Call the shop, describe the issue and your location. We'll quote the service call, schedule a time window, and dispatch a service truck with the equipment for the job — most commonly tire repair, mobile axle, or mobile spindle work.
Mobile service is great for fleets that don't want to deadhead a tractor or trailer to the shop, or for breakdowns at a yard or jobsite.
The shop runs Mon–Fri 8 AM – 5 PM. 24-hour towing, recovery, and roadside is dispatched through our sister company, Prairie Land Towing — Wisconsin's largest towing operation since 1984. Same family of businesses, one phone call covers both:
Yes. After diagnosis, we provide a written estimate covering parts, labor, and expected timeline. We don't start billable work without your sign-off on the quote — no surprises.
For ongoing fleet customers on a maintenance schedule, we work to a pre-approved scope so the routine PMs roll without the back-and-forth.
Yes. If you run multiple tractors or trailers, talk to us about a fleet account — predictable pricing, scheduled PM cadence, DOT inspection management, and priority scheduling for routine work. Call the shop or send an email to info@pls-wi.com to discuss.
We accept major credit cards, business checks, and cash. Fleet accounts can be set up on net-30 invoicing terms after credit review. For one-time customers, payment is due on completion.
